Styger takes a podium place in Garmisch
Swiss skiier Nadia Styger has taken third place in the final World Cup super-G event at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany.
As a result, she also finished third in the final World Cup super-G standings on 291 points.
Styger, who completed the course in 1 minute, 19.87 seconds, was beaten in Friday’s race by Lindsay Vonn of the United States (winner in 1:19.3) and Elisabeth Goergl of Austria (second in 1:19.46).
She finished sixth in the discipline during last month’s Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
Vonn on Friday claimed her third straight overall World Cup title after winning the super-G race.
