Wawrinka’s last intro in Paris
Swiss tennis player Stanislas Wawrinka has lost in the third round of the French Open to tenth-seeded Russian Nikolay Davydenko 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The 17th seed has yet to make it past the third round in Paris, where his tournament also ended in 2005 and 2008.
Wawrinka never found his consistency at Roland Garros this year, struggling in his first match against Nicolas Devilder 6-3 5-7 2-6 6-4 6-4 but then comfortably beating Nicolas Massu 6-1, 6-1, 6-2.
Switzerland’s last representative in the singles, Roger Federer, faces 32nd seed Paul-Henri Mathieu on Saturday evening.
