Rosset knocked out of Nottingham Open

Marc Rosset struggles to find his game (archive)

Switzerland's only survivor in the Nottingham Open in England, Marc Rosset, has been knocked out after a thrashing by the tournament's top seed, the South African, Wayne Ferreira.

Rosset had no chance against Ferreira, who won the match 6-1 6-2.

The Swiss number one has had a tough time of it ahead of the Wimbledon tournament scheduled to start next Monday. He has already had an early exit in the Stella Artois tournament after suffering from hayfever earlier this month.

Rosset had been hoping to get some preparations before his first match at Wimbledon, when he will face the Argentinian, Franco Squillari.
