Swiss have bad day at Wimbledon

Swiss tennis players Marco Chiudinelli and Timea Bacsinszky have both lost their first-round matches at Wimbledon.

This means Roger Federer, who scraped through his opening match in five sets on Monday, is the last of the six-person Swiss delegation standing after two days.

Chiudinelli (ranked 61) lost 6-4 6-3 6-3 to Alexander Dolgopolov (ranked 43) from Ukraine.

Bacsinszky (ranked 39) put up a better fight but was beaten by Romanian Edina Gallovits (ranked 91) 4-6 7-5 6-3.

Federer on Wednesday faces Ilija Bozoljac from Serbia, ranked 152.
