Pour moi il n'y a que du bon dans l'initiative Service Citoyen. L'initiative ne va pas affaiblir l'armée (au contraire, elle prévoit d'inscrire dans la Constitution que les effectifs nécessaires de l'armée soient garantis), mais elle va renforcer les services sociaux non-militaires et la protection de l'environnement, domaines qui font face à une pénurie de personnel, le tout en donnant à chaque Suisse une expérience formatrice flexible et enrichissante (plutôt que juste l'option du service militaire ou civil). On aura aussi enfin l'égalité des hommes et des femmes devant la loi: les hommes ne seront plus obligés de servir, et les femmes s'engageront en étant rémunérées (au lieu de s'occuper des enfants "en arrière-plan" de façon invisible, comme c'est souvent le cas), ce qui contribuera à une meilleure égalité des sexes et à un plus grand investissement des hommes dans les tâches de "soin". Et l'initiative prévoit aussi d'inclure, à terme, les étrangers résidant en Suisse dans le service civique, ce qui mettra fin à l'injustice que seuls les Suisses doivent servir et pas les étrangers résidant en Suisse.

Even if the current form of the army is not optimal (lack of goals and sense of utility for soldiers), this initiative is dangerous. __First of all, adding women into the equation is unfair. Women already suffer from pay gaps, support the biggest part of unpaid work at home and are still the ones to usually renounce to their careers when they have kids. Pushing them to do civil service on top of all of this doesn’t make sense, it would even be a setback for equality.__Second of all, it would put an even bigger pressure on both the economy and the job market. On one hand, the state will have to pay for more paid leaves (APG) and the job market will have less opportunity because some spots will already be taken by civil servants. From an economical point of view it makes no sense overall. __Third, in the times we are living in, we need an army, not specifically us directly, but Europe and the US are pushing us to invest more money into our army, telling us that « hey, you might not be part of NATO but you should also participate to the common effort ». Dismantling the mandatory army recruitement won’t help with our relationships with the US and Europe, it will probably make them worse and affecting our everyday life with worse deals and budget cuts.

Bonjour. Le service militaire que j'ai effectué a été une catastrophe du point de vue organisation. On ne fait rien d'interessant, de concret, tout est, pour des raison de territoire, fait avec des réductions, on ne sais pas ce que c'est ou ce que fait la guerre véritable. Simulateur, c'est bien, mais cela ne fait pas tout. Le service dit citoyen, est pas ce qu'il faut. Il faut un corps de soldats sachant défendre nos valeurs, et notre pays, territoire. Justement, le Service Citoyen permet plus d'options que le service militaire (par exemple en permettant de servir dans la protection de l'environnement ou les hôpitaux), sans pour autant affaiblir l'armée (au contraire, l'initiative prévoit d'assurer qu'il est survenu aux besoins de l'armée). Ce n'est pas une bonne solution? Ça permettrait à ceux qui trouvent l'armée inintéressante de s'engager dans d'autres domaines potentiellement plus enrichissants.

Personne ne nie que les femmes sont encore traitées différemment dans de nombreuses situations. Mais il n'est pas certain qu'il s'agisse du résultat d'une discrimination sexiste: certaines différences s'expliquent aussi par des choix différents, notamment le choix d'avoir des enfants ou de rester au foyer, ce qui peut impacter la carrière.__Par contre, le fait que le service militaire (ou taxe d'exemption) soit imposé uniquement aux hommes, c'est une discrimination sexiste de fait, ancrée dans la loi noir sur blanc. Il est temps de faire progresser l'égalité, dans les deux sens, au lieu de cimenter des rôles de genre d'un autre âge. The initiative Service Citoyen is about more than just making military service compulsory for women. Yes, Service Citoyen will be gender-neutral (which is a big win for equality). But it will also be more flexible than the "old" military service. With Service Citoyen, you will have the possibility to serve in numerous non-military areas, like relief work, environmental protection, or the like. I think this is a big upgrade from the "old" Swiss military/civilian service. Swiss society needs more service options that are more in line with the needs of the 21th century. It will also give young people more flexible service experiences, which can be valuable for their future careers.

Le terme citoyen donne l'impression trop légère, peu crédible et réjouir ceux ou celles qui vont trouver des arguments , qui ne correspondent pas aux aides nécessaires et efficaces , envers la société. Je ne comprends pas votre critique. Le Service Citoyen, malgré le nom, c'est exactement ce que vous décrivez: un service pour tous, faisable dans l'armée ou dans d'autres domaines comme l'agriculture ou les hôpitaux. Ça correspond mieux aux besoins de la Suisse et ça donne de l'expérience utile aux jeunes, en leur permettant aussi de construire des réseaux. Pour moi il n'y a que du bon dans l'initiative Service Citoyen.

È assurdo che chi vive in Svizzera senza cittadinanza debba comunque fare servizio militare o civile. Questa legge, già troppo restrittiva, viola diversi diritti riconosciuti a livello internazionale. In Svizzera, il servizio militare è obbligatorio solo per i cittadini svizzeri di sesso maschile, mentre le donne possono scegliere volontariamente di prestare servizio militare o civile.
