Switzerland's George Bastl has got a wild card entry to the Swiss Indoors tennis tournament in Basel next week. Davis cup player, Bastl, is one of only three players to get a wild card entry.

Number three in Switzerland behind Roger Federer and Marc Rosset, Bastl is 93 in the world rankings.

Federer is also due to play in Basel but Rosset will be in action in Moscow next week.

Some of the sport’s emerging talents will be playing in the million dollar tournament including the 18-year-old French junior Wimbledon champion, Nicolas Mahut, and Paul Henri Mathieu who won Roland-Garros.

Last year’s final saw Slovakia’s Karol Kucera defeat Britain’s Tim Henman in a hard-fought five set match.

Both Bastl and Rosset are in ATP tournament action this week. Bastl faces Jeff Tarango of the United States in Shanghai on Tueday while Rosset takes on Renzo Furlan of Italy in Toulouse.
