There has been a significant increase in job vacancies in the Swiss financial sector.

The number of available jobs has risen by 23 per cent since last year, according to a job index published by finance portal “finews.ch” on Monday.
As of the end of March, 4,312 open positions were advertised on the website, which features job listings from 1,400 banks, insurance companies and other finance-related firms.
There were 1,765 banking jobs available in late March – 21.4 per cent more than in March 2010. UBS alone was looking for 600 new hires – a jump of 77 per cent over last year.
At the same time, Credit Suisse was ready to hire 306 people – a decline of 22 per cent compared with a year ago.
In the insurance business there were 1,225 jobs available as of March, which represents an increase of 20.6 per cent. Meanwhile, the number of other finance jobs (1,321) reflects a rise of 27.6 per cent.
