German bobsledders dominate in St Moritz
The world bobsleigh championships have come to an end in the Swiss resort of St Moritz, with Germany taking gold and silver in the four-man discipline.
Chrisoph Langen’s team won the title just a week after Langen’s success in the two-man event. It’s the second time in four years that Langen has been crowned double world champion.
Last year’s champion, Andre Lange, took silver to complete another impressive one-two for the Germans. Switzerland’s Christian Reich piloted his team to the bronze medal, more than a second behind Langen, to provide some commiseration for the home fans.
Swiss champion Reto Götschl could only manage fifth place.
