DJ Bobo succumbs to charms of singer
Switzerland's most famous disc jockey, DJ Bobo, has decided to remarry. His future bride is currently working for him as a backing singer.
The 33-year-old disc jockey from canton Aargau is expected to tie the knot next Thursday in an undisclosed location in Switzerland, according to a statement issued on Saturday by his management.
DJ Bobo, who is very popular in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and Germany, met his future bride during a music festival in 1993, the same year he shot to fame with his hit single “Somebody Dance With Me”.
The artist from canton Aargau, whose real name is René Baumann, was originally a baker by profession. But in 1989, he decided to trade his rolling pin for a mixing desk.
After an unauspicious start, Baumann went on to sell 10 million records worldwide.
