The series of defeats for Zurich's ice hockey side, ZSC Lions, continued on Saturday night, when they lost to Bern away, 4-2. Despite their fifth defeat in a row this season, the Lions remain leaders of Switzerland's first division.

The game got off to a bad start for the guests when the Bernese defender, Marc Leuenberger, scored two goals in succession. His cousin, Sven Leuenberger, scored the fourth goal for Bern, making the score 4-1 before ZSC Lions pulled one back.

Davos, meanwhile, managed to narrow the gap on the league leaders by winning against Kloten, 2-1. They are now only three points behind Lions.

Zug’s fortunes took a turn for the better when they beat Fribourg, 4-1. Their four goals came from Todd Elik, Paul Di Pietro and Tancill (2).

Langnau kept their options for a place in the play-offs open after they defeated Chur, 3-1. The canton Graubünden side have been unable to achieve a single away win in a string of 11 matches.
