On Wednesday, 2 July, people in Geneva took refuge from the heat by using a giant mist-maker installed by the city. As part of an initiative to combat heat islands, the city of Geneva is installing 12 misters, 6 micro-oases, and 8 shading devices in public spaces, encouraging people to enjoy outdoor areas even during hot weather.
