Swiss through to second round of Intertoto

FC Zurich and St Gallen have both qualified for the second round of the Intertoto Cup, despite the Zurich's side defeat in Bosnia.

St Gallen thrashed their opponents from the Faroe Islands, B68 Tofir, for the second time. The Swiss side scored 6-0, after clinching a 5-1 victory during the first game against Tofir.

Meanwhile, FC Zurich team suffered defeat at the hands of their Bosnian opponents, Brotnjo Citluk, but nevertheless go through to the second round on the strength of their 7-0 win in the first game.

Georges Bregy's side will face an Estonian team lead by Levadia Maardu.

The teams have to come through five rounds of the Intertoto Cup before qualifying for the UEFA Cup, Europe's second biggest club competition after the Champions league.
