Shooting leaves one dead, two injured
A man has died and two others were injured, once seriously, in a shooting incident on Wednesday in an industrial zone about 20 kilometres north of Zurich.
A police spokesman said one man had fired at the other two and then killed himself.
The killer was an Italian in his late 50s employed by a heating and plumbing company in Buchs in whose premises the shooting occurred. He had entered the building armed with two revolvers, and shot his boss and another man. The police had been alerted shortly before 7am, the spokesman said.
The boss had been seriously hurt.
The shooting followed an altercation between the Italian and some other employees of the company, according to the spokesman. The police were unable to confirm reports in the local media that the man had announced his intentions the previous day.
