Two Vitol European Natural Gas Traders Said to Leave Company
(Bloomberg) — Two natural gas traders left Vitol SA last month, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
The Geneva-based traders worked in European markets, said the two people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private. Andrea Schlaepfer, a Vitol spokeswoman in London, declined to comment when reached by phone yesterday.
Vitol buys and sells gas in 11 European countries and handles about 20 billion cubic meters (0.7 trillion cubic feet) in the region a year, according to data on its website. That’s about three times the U.K.’s consumption last month.
