Plane crash victims were French
Swiss police say the five people who died in Friday's private plane crash were French citizens.
Police in canton Valais reported on Saturday that the pilot was a 58-year-old man based in Switzerland.
His passengers were a family he had taken on a sightseeing tour over the Alps. The family included a 42-year-old woman, a 41-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy.
No additional information was available about the deceased.
The twin-engine plane crashed at an altitude of 2,800 metres in Val d’Anniviers near the Italian border. The cause of the crash is still unknown.
