Champion ski jumper flies into speed trap
Canadian police nabbed Olympic champion ski jumper Simon Ammann of Switzerland for speeding en route to a post-victory television interview.

Ammann, who said he was “a bit late”, received no mercy from police on Sunday, who gave him a fine of about 138 Canadian dollars (SFr138).
“Suddenly, the sirens wailed behind us,” Ammann recalled. “I thought they wanted to overtake us. But the sirens were for us.”
Ammann won the Games’ first medal on Saturday on the normal hill. It was his third Olympic gold.
