Michael Jaeger Kerouac meets Greg Osby & Philipp Schaufelberger: Outdoors

Contemporary jazz. Zurich tenor saxist Michael Jaeger leads since quite a while his Kerouac quartet, so named after the late beat legend. And yes, especially Outdoors, their 2nd album to date, has its freaky sides. To mention are collective improvisations bearing at best the AACM spirit or bell ringing sound mixtures while themes are stated. Kerouac are surrounded on Outdoors on selected pieces by former M-Base hero alto saxist Greg Osby and Swiss jazz guitar ascetic Philipp Schaufelberger. Their contributions give Kerouac's music an oscillating and sparkling quality.
