Miss Zurich fired for “sloppiness”
Alexandra Feybli, 86-59-90, has had her Miss Zurich crown taken away for repeatedly missing engagements.
The last straw for the Miss Zurich organisers was when the 19-year-old blonde failed to turn up at a marble world championship a couple of weeks ago.
Feybli, who “likes travelling” and has been going out with footballer Luciano for two years, made her excuses, which fell on deaf ears.
Organisers, who according to tabloid paper Blick accused Feybli of “sloppiness”, said the 175cm sales assistant could keep her title until the next competition on May 15 but would no longer be booked for engagements. She has also had to return her crown.
Beauty queens (and kings) are big in Switzerland – largely because of the dearth of other celebrities – with winners of the national crown usually earning more than SFr500,000 ($435,000) during their “year in office”.
