Arthur Zeller (1881-1931) was a farmer and cow breeder but his true passion was photography. From 1900 to 1930 he crisscrossed Bern’s Simmental to record the lives and landscapes of the area. He left behind a collection of 6,000 glass-plate negatives, stored almost unprotected in a laundry. A unique archive that has finally been made public and can now be seen in the local musuem in Erlenbach and has been published in a new book. (Pictures: Limmatverlag).
