Patricia Kopatchinskaja: Rapsodia (classical selections). Patricia Kopatchinskaja, violin; Emilia Kopatchinskaja, violin & viola; Viktor Kopatchinsky, cymbalom; Mihaela Ursuleasa, piano a.o.

Late Romantic / Contemporary. Still in her early thirties, Patricia Kopatchinskaja belongs to the top violinists in the world. She has become famous for her bold, expressive interpretations, which seek to stretch music to its limits. Born in Moldawia into a musician's family, Kopatchinskaja later studied in Vienna and Berne. Since 10 years she has settled in the Swiss capital, from where she regularly tours the world. On Rapsodia she comes up with fulminant sounds of her youth, both folkloric and classical. Of eminence is the collaboration with her parents, both full-blooded musicians. The cymbalom virtuosity of her legendary father Viktor Kopatchinsky reaches thereby outstanding levels.
