Rudolf Moser: Spielmusik.
Late romantic of the 20th century. A portrait of Swiss composer Rudolf Moser from Basel. Moser (1892-1960) was a former student of the great Max Reger. Though afterwards he was able to find an individual way of merging late romantic and baroque music. It was marked by subtle polyphonic lines, economic harmony and a very lyric sense for melody. This style made him become one of Switzerland's outstanding composers in his time. Besides Moser soon began to play an important role for the Swiss music life as a teacher and promoter. Spielmusik highlights Moser the chamber music composer in crystalline interpretations by Omar Zoboli (oboe), Kaori Tanaka (clarinet), Andrea Suter (Soprano) a.o.
