The Sound Of Famara
Reggae / dub / world. Swiss reggae musician Thomas Nikles alias Famara from canton Basel is a phenomenon. Still known to insiders only in his home country he enjoys star status in west Africa, especially Gambia. By the end of the 90s he surfaced the scene with reggae sung in different languages and flavoured by African or Latin music styles. This album, a look back on 13 years in the business, allows plenty insight into Famara's rich sound world.
