Switzerland’s Roger Federer defeated Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-4 of Serbia on Saturday to set up a final with Andy Murray at the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament.

Federer, who will regain his number two ranking with the win, broke Djokovic three times after fighting off four break points on his own serve early in the first set.

The Swiss fell to third in the rankings after the Serb beat him in the United States Open semifinals. It will be Federer’s sixth final of the season.

The number four ranked Murray beat Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-4, 6-1 in the day’s first semifinal.

Federer, aged 29, has faced Murray twice this year, beating him in the final of the Australian Open but losing out to the Briton for the Toronto Masters title in August.
