I am the Director of SWI swissinfo.ch and a member of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation's Executive Board.
Born in Graubünden in 1978, I studied German, economics and politics. I started my journalistic career as a freelance journalist for local and regional media. This was followed by a decade as editor-in-chief, first at the Bündner Tagblatt newspaper and later at SWI swissinfo.ch. Since 2019, I have been Director of the international platform SWI swissinfo.ch and a member of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation's Executive Board.
Since 2022, I have been responsible for all journalistic content published by SWI swissinfo.ch, with a special focus on democracy and culture.
Previously, I held senior roles in digital news and was head of a primetime current affairs program on Swiss radio and television. I also developed broad expertise as a journalist on politics, science and culture. I hold a master's degree in environmental sciences from ETH Zurich.
I have been part of SWI swissinfo.ch's editorial board since 2015 and lead the English-language team and offering. I am also product owner for our news and our Swiss Film Selection.
Before joining SWI swissinfo.ch, I worked as a business journalist for various Swiss media outlets. I graduated in New Media Journalism (Master of Arts, 2014, University of Leipzig) and economics (licentiate degree, 1999, University of Bern).
I lead efforts to understand our audience's needs and habits through data and engagement. I also oversee science coverage at SWI swissinfo.ch and serve on the management board.
A dual citizen of Switzerland and the United States, I worked for trade publications and public media outlets in the US before joining SWI swissinfo.ch as a journalist and editor.
