Felix & Fanny Mendelssohn. String Quartets. Asasello Quartett.
Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn: String quartet in E flat major (1834). Felix Mendelssohn: String Quartet no. 1 in E flat major op. 12; String quartet no. 2 in A minor op. 13. The Asasello String Quartet's original members met during their chamber music studies in Basel. After finishing their respective diplomas, they relocated to Cologne in 2003 in order to pursue further studies with the Alban Berg Quartet. Winning 1st prize at the Migros Kulturprozent Chamber Music Competition in Zurich was what finally convinced Rostislav Kojevnikov, Barbara Kuster, Justyna Sliwa and new member Andreas Müller to embark together on an international concert career as a professional ensemble.
