The theft took place on Wednesday in the town of Schaffhausen. The jewellery shop had been burgled six times before, most recently in June 2007.
A shop assistant was threatened with a gun while two of the thieves collected valuables. The trio then fled in a waiting car.
Police said the masked thieves had been "well organised" and worked quickly.
