Swiss skier Didier Cuche has won the super-G World Cup title after the final round of competition was abandoned due to bad weather.

The win on Thursday came after Cuche was awarded his fourth World Cup downhill title the previous day at the Swiss resort of Lenzerheide.
It is the first time the 36-year Swiss champion has won the super-G event, having placed second by one point in 2008.
Cuche, who had been rumoured to announce his retirement earlier in the week, was leading the field when the event was cancelled.
The women’s event was won by American Lindsey Vonn, who was ahead of her closest rival, Germany’s Maria Riesch, by 27 points when the event was cancelled.
