Switzerland skates away with easy win
The Swiss national hockey team has won the four-nation Skoda Cup at home in Lausanne, finishing the tournament undefeated with a victory against France.
It was an easy game against the French, with Switzerland leading 5-0 after 34 minutes. The final score was 5-2.
The Swiss had previously beaten Germany 2-1 on Friday and Slovakia 2-0 on Sunday.
Switzerland, who won the tournament for the second straight year without dropping a game, finished ahead of the Germans. The Slovaks were a disappointing third with just one win over France, who finished last.
The Swiss will play four more preparation matches against the Czech Republic and Norway in April before heading to Quebec for the world championships in May.
