Lugano fail to take off
Lugano have put in another disappointing performance, losing 4-1 to Berne to remain bottom of Switzerland's top ice hockey division.
For Berne the match was a further testament to their growing stature in the league, following their opening round draw with the defending champions, ZSC Lions.
On Tuesday the Lions were roaring once more – comfortably seeing off newly-promoted La Chaux-de-Fonds 7-3. Zug and Davos maintained their perfect start to the season, both winning away.
Davos wom 4-3 in Chur, while Zug beat Rapperswil 3-1. In the night’s other matches, Kloten played thrashed Ambri 6-1 and Fribourg beat Langnau 4-1.
