Vevey likes them extra large
Every two years, Vevey on Lake Geneva hosts the "Festival des Arts Visuels" (Visual Arts Festival). For the latest edition, large, and sometimes monumental photos have been put on display on the sides of buildings, turning the city into a giant open-air museum.

The motto this year is "A change of decor". Internationally renowned artists have created or adapted their work for the festival. The positioning of the photos is designed to create an interaction between the surroundings.
Along with the open-air show, there are 21 exhibits indoors to be seen as well. The festival will also name the winners of its International Photo Award and the European Film Award. It runs until September 30, 2012. (Photos: Christoph Balsiger, swissinfo.ch)
