The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad SwissCommunityExternal link (OSA) has represented the interests of the Swiss abroad in Switzerland since 1916. It supports Swiss nationals with questions regarding to cross-border mobility and for advice on legal, social security and educational matters. SwissCommunity is committed to preserving the connection between Switzerland and its citizens living abroad within the framework of Article 40 of the Federal Constitution. SWI swissinfo.ch and the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad have a long-standing cooperation for informing and for the networking of Swiss citizens abroad.
Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA)
The FDFA External linkis the first point of contact for matters concerning Swiss individuals and institutions abroad. The extensive range of services offered by the FDFA’s Consular Directorate includes information on specific matter for the Swiss Abroad, such as the Swiss Abroad Register, civil status, citizenship, social assistance, consular protection and political rights.

Soliswiss
Since its foundation in 1958, Soliswiss External linkhas focused on the Swiss abroad. Today, Soliswiss has about 4’000 members in more than 130 countries. Soliswiss is committed to solidarity and giving concrete support to its members. Soliswiss offers professional advice on emigration, globetrotting, travelling as well as repatriation.

educationsuisse External linkis the umbrella organisation of the 18 federally recognised Swiss schools abroad. Additionally, educationsuisse advises and supports young Swiss Abroad as well as students of Swiss schools abroad who would like to go on to complete higher education in Switzerland.
