Bank Sarasin posts healthy figures
Bank Sarasin, which specialises in asset management, has released six month figures that show a 48 per cent increase in net profits to SFr67.5 million.
The Basel-based bank said solid growth in interest, services and trading income explained the results.
Interest income rose 34 per cent to SFr24.7 million, while earnings from commissions and services increased 47 per cent to SFr164 million. Trading income was up 36 per cent to SFr27 million.
“Barring any extraordinary events, we expect the second half to enable us to have a good result for the full year,” said a company statement.
The bank has taken on 100 new employees over the past 12 months and now has a staff of more than 600.
