Crossair pilots reach deal with management

Crossair pilots finalise pay package with management Keystone

Switzerland's leading regional airline, Crossair, has struck a pay deal with pilots, ending a long-standing dispute over salaries and conditions of service.

Majority owned by the SAir Group, Crossair and the pilots trade union have agreed to extend their current contract until the end of August.

From July, co-pilots will get a pay increase of five per cent, while captains will get a pay rise of up to 18 per cent.

The pilots union agreed to negotiate a new contract with Crossair for September onwards, based on a study by the University of Sankt Gallen.

The University will analyse the system of remuneration, working hours and conditions before presenting its findings in September.
