Thun hosts business summit
The most important event for heads of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and young entrepreneurs - the Swiss Economic Forum - is underway in Thun.
Eight hundred participants are attending the two-day event, which opened on Friday and has been booked out for several weeks.
Keynote speakers included this year’s Swiss president, Adolf Ogi, and the head of the SAirGroup, Philippe Bruggisser.
Presentations included SME high flyers, with workshops covering a wide-range of current topics from going public to customer relationship management.
One of the high points of the Forum will be Saturday’s presentation of the Swiss Economics Award for excellence in entrepreneurship. With a first prize of SFr30,000, the Award is the most important recognition for successful young enterprises in Switzerland.
