During talks with Serbian leaders including President Boris Tadic, the two sides agreed that there was a lot of untapped potential to step up trade between the two countries.
The spokesman added that strengthening cooperation within multilateral bodies was also discussed, as was the situation in northern Kosovo.
There is tension in the region between the majority Serb population and the rest of Kosovo, largely dominated by ethnic Albanians.
