Hard- / post-bop. This is a further CD release by Joe Haider with his new current quintet simply named Cinq. Swiss resident Haider, longtime the former and influencal dean of the Swiss Jazz School Berne, unites here a bunch of top class instrumentalists of the post-bop genre from both countries Switzerland and Germany. Apart from two exceptions the album contains originals by the band's members delivering smokey and groovy jazz at its best. With Keith Copeland and Tony Lakatos a.o.
