Bäichle Jodlerfamilie: Grosi’s Lieder (Grandmother’s Songs)
Yodel songs. The Bäichle Yodel Family, named after their home region nearby Escholzmatt (on the boarder of cantons Lucerne and Berne), consists in fact of two farming families, the Häfligers and Lustenbergers. Since about a decade they have carried on the legacy of old songs, the so called Grosi's Lieder (Grandmother's Songs). These songs tell us a lot about social life in the countryside and the relation between man and nature throughout the centuries. You hear interpretations ranging from duets to full ensemble. And above all the Bäichle Family member's clear voices are bell ringing indeed!
