Daniel Schenker Quartet: Jardim Botânico
Brazil / jazz. Zurich trumpeter Daniel Schenker, since years a musician's musician in Swiss jazz circles, releases with Jardim Botânico a very relaxed album welcoming at best the beginning Spring season. This time, along with his longtime quartet and new pianist Stefan Aeby, he explores glowing Brazilian moods. And Schenker sounds gentle throughout displaying great affinities in his tone to reed instruments. His band, attentive and never overthrowing, fits very well the delicate atmosphere.
