Hansheinz Schneeberger (violin) – Leading Swiss Artists of the Concert Stage
Hansheinz Schneeberger was born in Bern in 1926 and began playing the violin at the age of six. He later studied in Bern, Lucerne, Paris and the United States.
A virtuoso performer, he was in constant demand as a soloist with leading orchestras both in Switzerland and abroad. He also performed very successfully in chamber music groups. Schneeberger has given many world premiere performances of important works, including Bela Bartok’s first Violin Concerto, the Violin Concerto by Frank Martin and the “Tempora” Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Klaus Huber.
