Sarah Buechi’s Thali: Vidya Mani
Vocal Jazz / World. Sarah Buechi is a young singer from the Lucerne scene. After her graduation as jazz singer at the Lucerne University of Music, she decided to encounter another sound culture. Therefore she spent several months in the South Indian metropole Bangalore and learned from renowned teacher-musicians in Carnatic music. Back home Buechi founded her band Thali together with other young Swiss talents. After a 3 years starting perdiod time had eventually come for cutting a debut cd. Vidya Mani delivers a refreshing combination of these days jazz and chants with a South Indian touch.
