The Swiss tromboist David Bruchez was born in Fully, canton Valais. He completed his studies at the Lausanne Conservatoire, and went on to further study in New York and at the 'Herbert von Karajan' Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He teaches trombone at the Lausanne Conservatoire and at the 'Tibor Varga' Conservatoire Supérieur in Sion. Since 1996 he has been played in the Orchestra of Zurich Opera.
