Deiss meets Ukraine leaders to discuss security
The Swiss foreign minister, Joseph Deiss, held talks with Ukraine's leaders on Monday, on the second and final day of his trip to Kiev.
Deiss met his Ukrainian counterpart, Anatoly Zlenko, for talks on bilateral relations, regional security, and Ukraine's attempts to join the European integration process.
He also signed two accords covering transport and double taxation
His talks so far have focused on aid, security and European integration.
Deiss opened his tour on Sunday with a visit to a legal studies centre funded by Switzerland. He also met Ukraine's justice minister, Suzanna Stanik, and discussed improving judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Swiss assistance to Ukraine, with a budget of SFr4 million, also covers economic development, social development, and conflict prevention.
