Felix Weingartner: Symphony 1. König Lear.
Sinfonieorchester Basel. Dir. Marko Letonja. The present compact disc marks the inauguration of a complete recording of the symphonic oeuvre of Felix Weingartner (1863-1942). At the same time, it represents the first compact-disc production of the Basel Symphony Orchestra with Marko Letonja, who became the orchestra's principal conductor and music director with the 2003/04 season.
