Federer beats Nalbandian at Wimbledon
Six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer has defeated David Nalbandian 6-4, 6-2, 6-4.
Switzerland’s top player beat the Argentinian to move closer to equaling Pete Sampras’ record of seven Wimbledon titles.
Federer now goes into the last 16 without having dropped a set. On Monday, he’ll play either Nicolas Almagro or Michail Yushni for a place in the quarterfinals.
The Swiss star continues to serve wellI at Wimbledon, counting 37 aces in his first three matches and only one double fault.
Nalbandian had an early chance, breaking Federer with the first set tied at 3-3.
But Federer managed to break back in the very next game.
