Picture postcards emerged towards the end of the 19th century, and were soon mass-produced. The enhanced landscape images, traditional town views and spectacular events are now of interest to ethnologists, but also to art and culture historians. Feller's book, The World in Pocket-size Format, published in German and English, is the first of a new series of photo albums.
