Packing it in

Today brought me up to half-speed in the electronic age. Sure, I've been using a computer since the beginning of time, but I've never had a smart phone, which is what these daily reports will be filed from.

So now I’m learning how to take pictures and movies on two different phone systems, how to upload them to ftp sites and direct to Picasa, which places them on the website. We glued Velcro to my helmet so I can stick solar chargers up there when the sun is out (I do hope it comes out!). The problem is that often it will be days, sometimes a week between electrical outlets. Which brings up the interesting issue of food. Batteries aren’t the only thing that need to be charged, there’s my body as well. (June 21, 2010)
