The company announced sales growth of 14.8 per cent, with turnover reaching SFr162.9 million.

The company attributed the increase to strong demand in its target markets.

Unilabs is a European leader in the field of medical laboratory analysis, with 1,000 staff in five countries, and 30 laboratories.

Meanwhile, the company has announced a reshuffle at boardroom level. Cosimo Picci, formerly of Atag Ernst and Young, is to take over as financial director of the group. He will replace Bruno Adam, who will take responsibility for the group's operation in France and Italy.
