Mikron growth stays solid
The Mikron Technology group, with activities in mobile telephony, medical technology and electrical engineering, as well as in the automotive industry, has reported healthy financial figures for the first half.
A statement from the company in Biel on Tuesday, said sales were up by 52 per cent at SFr364 million, while net profit increased by 58 per cent to SFr20.3 million.
It added that volumes grew in all divisions thanks to the strong position of Mikron products in the rapidly growing main target markets.
Mikron said the engines of growth in the automotive sector were new injection technologies and a new generation of airbags.
The company added that in the infocom sector, the boom in mobile telephony continued and showed rates of increase of more than 50 per cent.
