How to make the most of our site
The following software is needed to make use of all of our content:
Browser
You can visit us with any browser but we recommend you that you use an actual browser such as Internet Explorer 5.5 and above, Netscape 6 and above or Mozilla version 1.0 and above, Opera 6 or Safari.
Flash Player
The Flash player is often already installed, but you may not have the latest version. On swissinfo Flash is mainly used for desing purposes but there are cases where it is needed for viewing content. We recommend the use of Flash version 6 (MX) and above.
Acrobat Reader
When you see the extension "pdf", it means that you're about to view an Adobe Portable Document Format. This format is especially well suited for high quality prints which look the same regardless of the platform. For viewing these documents you need the Adobe Reader plug-in. On newer computers it is usually already installed.
