A diverse team for a diverse audience
More than 100 people are employed at the headquarters in Bern. Around 70 people work in the editorial departments while approximately 30 people are in distribution, multimedia, information technology, marketing and partnerships, corporate communications and administration. Another 120 freelancers work for SWI swissinfo.ch work as editorial staff.
The editorial teams select the topics together and decide how and for which countries the stories will be produced. Editors oversee the production process from research to publication. Each report benefits from the linguistic, cultural, thematic and professional expertise of the diverse team. SWI swissinfo.ch publishes and contextualises in Switzerland’s national languages German, French and Italian, as well as in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. Until the end of 2022, SWI swissinfo.ch will also publish selected articles from its repertoire in Ukrainian.
